All That Glitters Viburnum, Viburnum dentatum var. deamii ‘SMVDLS’, is an improved arrowwood viburnum that doesn’t grow as large. Growing to only 4 to 5 feet high, the size of these make for perfect foundational plantings, hedges, or border plantings. The foliage is very glossy and shiny, which creates a beautiful shrub from spring to fall.
In order for this plant to produce berries, you must plant near All That Glows Viburnum. In early summer, the shrub will have hundreds of small white flowers, which will turn into shiny blue berries in middle to late summer.
This arrowwood viburnum is native to North America, and very low maintenance to care for. This bush is also deer resistant!
All That Glitters Viburnum Care
This shrub can handle most soils, as long as it is well drained. These need at least 5 hours of sunlight a day, but can handle full sun conditions. Fertilize in early spring with a controlled release fertilizer.
Pruning All That Glitters Viburnum should be avoided if possible. You can trim off dead or sick branches, however you risk cutting off the flowers and berries if you do prune. If you must prune, you should do so in late spring after the berries have formed.

To grow these into a hedge plant 48 inches apart, center on center. If you would like to plant as a foundational planting or border, it is best to do 72 inches apart, center on center.
