Cypripedium ‘Monto’ is a 2008 Hiratsuka hybrid that combines the genes of the high elevation Japanese Cypripediuim macranthos var. hotei-atsumorianum and endangered Chinese Cypripedium fasciolatum. The sturdy 18″ tall stems are topped with flowers composed of a very large white pouch, often suffused with violet, and backed by lovely violet and white veined sepals. All of our ladyslipper orchids are flowering-sized plants and nursery propagated.
