Eucomis ‘Twinkle Stars’ is the latest in the parade of new pineapple lilies, this one from breeder, Terry Hatch, of Joy Nurseries in New Zealand. Eucomis ‘Twinkle Stars’ forms 16″ tall rosettes of fleshy green foliage topped, starting in mid-July (NC), with 2′ tall purple spikes with equally dark purple buds that open to light purple flowers…quite striking!
