Hosta ‘Blue Jay’ is still a much sought-after Herb Benedict introduction, the result of Hosta ‘Dorset Blue’ having sex with itself…thank goodness that’s permitted in the hosta world. The intense, powder-blue, round leaves of Hosta ‘Blue Jay’ form a tight, 2′ wide mound. In late spring, the clump is topped with light lavender flowers…great among other small hostas.
