This is one of our 1997 wild accessions of H. venusta, from 2,500′ elevation on Korea’s famed Cheju Island. We found this patch of H. venusta in a deep dark forest along the top of the banks of a dry stream bed. Under garden conditions, H. venusta will make a perfectly formed clump to 10″ wide of tiny green heart-shaped leaves…great for a special place in the woodland rock garden. In summer, the plants are topped with proportional 16″ scapes of medium lavender flowers.
