The cream-white petals of the Inca Lucky Peruvian Lily have a salmon-pink throat highlighted with a brief hint of yellow. This continuous blooming perennial will push out blooms during the spring, summer, and fall and dazzle any landscape. The charming flowers grow on strong upright stems covered in lance-shaped dark green foliage. This lovely blooming plant is also known as the Lily of the Incas or Alstroemeria.

Feature the Inca Lucky Peruvian Lily in borders, beds, or mass plantings. This plant has a dwarf growth habit and will reach 8 to 12 inches in height, so plant it near the front of a bed where it will be visible. Alstroemeria makes an excellent container plant since it naturally maintains a compact size and features showy blooms. This plant grows as a perennial in USDA zones 7 through 10, but it can often be found as an annual in cold regions.

Inca Lucky™ Peruvian Lily Care

Plant in full to part sun. Increased light is necessary for this beauty to bloom. Alstroemeria likes moist conditions and needs water when the top layer of the soil is dry. Soil should have 5.5 to 6.5 pH and allow for drainage. Feed the plant using nitrogen-rich water-soluble plant food every two weeks during the growing season.

Deadhead the plant to maintain a neat appearance and encourage more flowers. Dead stems can be removed at any time and trim back old growth in the spring. Alstroemeria is propagated through division. Spring is the best time to dig up and separate the roots. New plants should be replanted right away.

Inca Lucky™ Peruvian Lily Spacing

The Inca Lucky Peruvian Lily will grow 8 to 12 inches tall and 14 to 16 inches wide. Plants can grow as close as 16 inches or spread further apart based on preference. When grown in a container, select a large pot or divide the plant into several smaller plants if using a small container.
