May Night Meadow Sage is a type of Salvia, and it makes an impressive impact on a landscape primarily due to the intense blue flowers. Tall branched stems are loaded with dainty blue blooms from June through mid-July. The flowers stand above dark green, textured foliage with an elliptical shape. The midrib is a lighter shade of green for additional color and dimension.
This is a tall, upright plant that is right at home near the middle or back of a bed or mass planting. Line a walkway or conceal a foundation wall with the tall flowering stems that will gently sway in a light breeze.
