Paeonia ‘Le Charme’ is a 1964 Paeonia lactiflora hybrid from Martin Eliason that’s been a standout in our peony heat tolerance trials. Paeonia ‘Le Charme’ produces an abundance of 3′ tall, sturdy, well-branched stems each topped with a huge cluster of large rosy pink, deliciously fragrant flowers starting in mid-May (NC). Each flower is composed of a large, ruffled double layer of outer petals, highlighted by a stunning central cluster of creamy yellow stamens…top notch!
