ARTISAN STORY

CF Deruta Deruta, Umbria. Since the 1940s, Salvatore Favaroni painted in Deruta factories, creating inspired works following local traditions. In the 1970s he opened his own workshop, “Ceramiche Favaroni Deruta,” known for flowers, landscapes, and Castelli-style decoration. Salvatore’s decorations were developed without the dusting (spolvero) technique, so each piece is similar but never identical. His son Carlo Favaroni now runs the family business, CF Deruta, bringing the classic decorations into contemporary colors and shapes.
