Polystichum setiferum ‘Mossy Mama’ is an elegant introduction from Thimble Farms that arose there as a unique sporeling of Polystichum setiferum ‘Divisilobum’. The finely dissected foliage adds a soft texture to the woodland garden. Mature plants will also produce tiny plantlets on the fronds late in the season. Polystichum ‘Mossy Mama’ is one of the few selections of the European Polystichum setiferum that thrives in our intense heat and humidity.
